Experiencing doggie trouble?

There are no easy answers when it comes to rehabilitation so please beware of trainers who offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Pooch Perfect uses behavioural science to:

  • Identify developmental, behavioural and environmental factors contributing to the issue(s)

  • Keep options and lines of communication open

  • Determine, in partnership with you and your dog, based on the latest evidence-based methods and your comfort, the best way forward.

Whatever your issue, we've dealt with it before and can provide you and your dog with everything you need to make a smooth transition to pooch perfection.

We have experience with:

  • Aggression, biting, growling, territoriality and dominance

  • Reactivity, fear and related aggression

  • Socialization and related developmental issues

  • Multi-dog / multi-pet dynamics

  • Anxiety and separation

  • Leash and walking issues

  • Obsessive and Compulsive Disorders

  • Excessive barking

  • Counterconditioning

  • Elimination issues and potty training

  • Obedience issues

  • Changing training styles

  • New (or additional) dog in the house

  • Feral, street and rescue dogs

  • and many other areas

You're not alone!

When you decide to work with Pooch Perfect one rehabilitation visit is often enough to set you and you're dog on the right path but when the training session is over we don't leave you in a lurch to fend for yourself! We're happy to answer your email and phone queries and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

We want you to succeed, and asking questions and clarifications, providing reminders, and supporting you are always available. After your training session is done we even often answer questions beyond the scope of the prompting issue and provide new advice (within reason). Our goal is nothing short of transformed relationships with both happier dogs and people -- and we'll do what it takes to make sure that happens.
